Weekend Recap
The U10/ U12 Tear it up in their season opener on their home hill.
For some of the U10's who were entering their first race ever, and for our U12's that have honed their skills over the past two years, were all able to show the Central Council that Toggenburg is alive and strong as a club! In their season opener Kombi on Kneeknocker, many of our Toggenburg racers went home with a medal. We are proud of all of these racers and the efforts they have put in this season. We would like to thank the Pompey Mall for supplying lunches to all the volunteers and all the families for all your time and effort you have put in getting your racers set for this and the upcoming races!
U16/19 Racers head to Labrador for a doubleheader Slalom!
While our younger racers were training at home, our older racers continued to demonstrate their skills at Labrador M.T. in a doubleheader slalom race. Amanda Richardson took home a 6th in the first slalom race and a 4th in the second slalom race while Alexis Durocher took home a 4th in the second Slalom race of the day. In the Mens races Luke Wiesiger took home the first-place victory in the first run and tied for 2nd in the second race. Griffin Berry also took home the 12th place victory in the first run rounding out the top finishers for Toggenburg.
What a great weekend of racing. We are all looking forward to more racing as the season continues! Remember to keep skiing fast and skiing safe!
